My Why

At 55 and post menopausal, I’m passionate about empowering midlife women to feel great about themselves and create simple and sustainable healthy lifestyles.

A Personal Trainer for almost 30 years and more recently accredited as a Health Coach, I have been interested in healthy ageing since the devastating loss of my Dad to a sudden heart attack when he was only 47. It has, and continues to be, my passion to explore how we can not only live longer but also age better.

I don’t believe that midlife woman are adequately educated about the physiological changes that occur once our reproductive hormones diminish and I want to be part of the change to creating more awareness.

To optimise our health as women over 50, we need to do things a little differently and I’m here to empower you to thrive.

My Story

Although having an interest in fitness and nutrition most of my life, there have been times in the past where I was not always ‘healthy’. I’ve been both very underweight but also very overweight and have to admit that I was once into extremes. Now as a midlifer with two teenage children, I’m navigating post menopause, joint/arthritis issues and whatever else the ageing process brings my way.

Personally, I was unprepared for my menopause transition and at times felt not only bewildered but also distressed at what was happening to my body and mind. However, after reframing this experience, I was able to view menopause as an opportunity to take a more holistic view of my health.

I’m happy to say that I now feel healthier and happier than every before.

My own post menopausal health vision now involves a more balanced approach which includes lots of healthy food and movement while also allowing room for relaxation, chocolate, bread and eating out regularly. I am also a lover of little black dresses and a reforming high heel addict transitioning to barefoot shoes (a work in progress!).

Exercise for me varies from working out in my home garage gym, embarking on the occasional athletic challenge (first Marathon at 47 and first 140.6 Ironman at 52), gardening, baby wave surfing (another midlife discovery), multi day hiking in Australia and New Zealand, kelpie walking and constantly exploring new ways to move my body.

My ultimate goal in life is to empower women to radiate confidence, fully enjoy their lives, love their bodies and be fit and healthy regardless of their age.

Beautiful Midlife Beliefs and Values

As midlife women, we believe that when we are healthy and happy, midlife can be the most empowering and beautiful time of our life. Although we want to look our best, beauty for us is no longer so much about aesthetics but now more about feeling comfortable in our own skin.

Beautiful Midlife Core Values

Curiosity

We believe that curiosity is essential to personal growth, especially during midlife.

By encouraging women to explore new ideas and experiences, we aim to help them discover their full potential and live their best lives.

We strive to create an environment that inspires curiosity and empowers women to embrace new challenges and opportunities.

Authenticity

We believe in the power of being true to oneself and living a life that is genuine and fulfilling.

Our goal is to empower midlife women to embrace their unique identities and live life authentically by providing them with the resources and support they need to thrive.

We strive to create an environment where midlife women feel safe and empowered to be their true selves.

Respect

We believe in treating every midlife woman with dignity and honor, regardless of her age, background, or experiences.

Our goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where midlife women can feel respected, valued, and heard.

We recognise that every woman is unique and respect individual choices relating to health and wellness.

Empowerment

We are dedicated to promoting empowerment among midlife women, and firmly believe that every midlife woman has the ability to take control of her health and wellbeing, regardless of age or circumstance.

We strive to provide the guidance and resources needed to help midlife women feel empowered to make positive changes in their lives, achieve their health and wellness goals and thrive.
